WHAT A WEEK OF TELEVISION FOR TONY

It was with great anticipation that Defiance returned to the Syfy UK channel for a second series last Thursday, once again starring our very own Tony Curran as Datak Tarr. The American science fiction series, set on a futuristic Earth where various alien life forms have begun to thrive, was developed by Rockne S. O’Bannon and has been praised by US critics for its adventurous flavour and outstanding performances.

Also on our tellyboxes this Thursday, Tony can be seen starring as Stoke City’s infamous manager Lou Macari in BBC2’s fact-based drama Marvellous. Part biopic, part musical and part fantasy, this is the inspirational and incredible true story of Neil Baldwin, a man who refused to accept the label of learning difficulties, and who has led an extraordinary life including being kit-man for Stoke.

We can’t wait to see Tony back on the British small screen in these two spectacular and highly diverse dramas.

Defiance: Series Two airs on Syfy UK on Thursday nights at 9pm and Marvellous airs this Thursday 25th September on BBC2, also at 9pm.
