CATCH TIM McMULLAN BEING SINFUL IN MAN AND SUPERMAN
Congratulationsto the brilliant Tim McMullan and Christopher Shutt on the fantastic reviews
for Man
and Superman, which opened at The National Theatre’s Lyttelton last
week. Starring alongside Ralph Fiennes, Tim
takes on the roles of Mendoza, a
Spanish Bandit, before transforming into the Devil. Christopher’s sound designs enchances the energy and comic zest
which keeps the audience on their toes throughout this 3 ½ hour production. It
is therefore no wonder that Man and Superman has received rave
reviews.
“McMullan has a ball as this silky Devil and as Mendoza, a Spaniard bandit, and
he and Fiennes excel at the Shavian witticisms.” Dominic Maxwell – THE TIMES – ****
“Tim McMullan … luxuriates in wickedness, offering sideswipes at
the British on the mountainside and steaming cocktails in the underworld.” Michael Coveney – WHAT’S ON STAGE – ****
“There is a
supremely funny performance from Tim
McMullan as both a helplessly lovelorn Spanish brigand and a suavely ironic
Devil who holds court in Hell over a lavishly endowed drinks trolley” – Michael Billington – THE GUARDIAN – ****
“Tim McMullan … gets a chance to show off his own skill as a comic performer, making
this feel very much an ensemble piece, and not just a vehicle
for Fiennes.” Leslie
Felperin – HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
