A HOST OF SCOTT MARSHALL CLIENTS AT THE BAFTA
TELEVISION AWARDS 2015
Yesterday, we were thrilled to
discover that numerous programmes featuring Scott Marshall clients have been
nominated for BAFTA Television Awards 2015.
Marvellous, co-starring Tony Curran, and A Poet in New York, with Robert Blythe, have both been nominated in the ‘Best Single Drama’
category.
In BBC 2’s Marvellous, Tony portrayed Stoke City’s
infamous manager Lou Macari. This part biopic, part fantasy drama portrayed
the incredible true story of Neil Baldwin (played by Toby Jones who is
nominated in the ‘Best Leading Actor’ category) – a man who refused to accept
the label of learning difficulties, and let anything hold him back in reaching
his life goals. Furthermore, appearing opposite Tom Hollander as Dylan Thomas, Robert played the great poet’s father in the BBC’s A
Poet in New York. This sensitive drama recounted Thomas’ last days in
1953, when he returned to New York for the last time.
Also among the nominations are: Our
World War for ‘Best Mini Series’ which starred Chris Reilly in its third installment, gripping thriller Happy Valley for ‘Best Drama Series’ which
featured Hannah John Kamen as
recurring character Justine and
family favourite Eastenders, up for ‘Best Soap and Continuing Drama’,
which Annette Badland continues to
appear in as Aunt Babe.
The BAFTA
Television Award ceremony will take place on Sunday 10 May and we
can’t wait to see who the winners will be!
